Rooted in Trefoil to Rooted in Sand

It was a whirlwind of a weekend in MD!!! I spent some of my time visiting with Nancy & Michael, which was lovely to see such gentle spirits. For those who don't know, Michael has an aggressive form of cancer and it's been very difficult for Nancy and his family. However, he has maintained his bright spirit and sense of humor during this journey. What a courageous man to be able to keep those qualities while he deals with the difficulties cancer brings. It meant a lot to spend time with them, especially since I do not get home too often during the year. It made me feel really good to be there for Nan and Michael. Please keep them both in your prayers. Saturday afternoon, after my visit I drove home to attend Dorie's baby shower - Dumbo themed - and it was lovely. So good to see her and growing belly. Our first Spring on Trefoil, and so far it's going well. We tried our hand this weekend at planting two bushes and some Begonias. We hope our efforts and God help them take-off, but we're completely aware of the possibilities. Saturday, I test drove a Chevy Grand Traverse 2LT and LOVED IT!!! That will definitely be our next vehicle. It'll be big enough for kids, dogs, and everyday travel. We had our lovely friends, Brittney, Jeremy, and their little man, Judah. We roasted smores around the fire and chatted. Overall, the weekend was quick but eventful. Looking forward to Bourbon, Bacon, & Beer Festival with Jen & Ange this coming weekend.
